Research Interest
A/Prof Xiwang Zhang’ researches focus on development of novel functional materials and membrane processes for water and wastewater treatment and disinfection, particularly clean water production, resources recovery and energy generation from wastewater. The specific interests are listed as follow:  Fabrication of 1D, 2D and 3D photocatalysts;  Process design of photocatalytic oxidation for water treatment;  Fabrication of functional membranes, e.g. photocatalytic membranes, hybrid membranes;  Forward osmosis process for energy and resource recovery from wastewater;  Fabrication of Metal-Organic-Frameworks (MOFs) adsorbents;  Electrochemical oxidation process;
